Employment First means real jobs for real wages. It means that people with disabilities can choose what kind of work they want to do, where they want to do it, and how much they want to earn. It also means that they can get the support they need to succeed in their jobs. It means that employment in the general workforce should be the first and preferred option for individuals with disabilities receiving assistance from publicly-funded systems
About APSE The National Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) is the only national organization focused exclusively on Employment First. Employment First means that people with disabilities should have the same opportunities to work as anyone else.
